About Us
Background
Net zero-emission by mid-century has been an initiative adopted by worldwide countries and local governments to reduce global warming’s catastrophic effects from anthropological CO2 emissions. However, to date, most of the collaborative networks occur in Western countries, which have different sets of socio-political values. Therefore, we would like to introduce the Australasian Practical Zero Emissions Society which focuses on specific and distinctive contexts of Asian countries.
Vision
Established in 2022, Australasian Practical Zero Emissions Society is dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of strategies and technologies that can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other forms of pollution.
Mission
By bringing together experts from a wide range of fields and providing them with the resources and support they need to advance the field, the society would help to drive progress towards a future in which emissions are reduced and the environment is protected.
Goals
- Playing a leading role in the global effort to combat climate change and promote sustainable development.
- Providing a platform for researchers, scientists, engineers, policymakers, and other experts to share their insights and collaborate on projects that could help to promote sustainable development and combat climate change.
- Working with governments, businesses, and other organizations to promote the adoption of practical zero emission technologies and strategies in the region.
- Advancing research and knowledge on practical zero emission technologies and strategies through conferences, workshops, and publications.
- Providing support and resources to researchers and other members of the society to help them advance the field of practical zero emission.
- Raising awareness of the importance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and other forms of pollution, and the benefits of practical zero emission technologies and strategies.
